Phonological Study Of Nanxiang Dialect, Zixing City

the dialect in southern Human province has gradually catched the at-tention of many linguists by ils complication. the dialed prevailing in Nanxiang, Zixing city of Chenzhou is very characteiislical, up to now, few researchers have touched upon it. The author have been this area third do-ing practical research. The article, taking the dialect Tang wan village of Nanxiang for reference and adopting the approach of dissecting sparrow, on the basis of field work, the author describes the phonology and phonetics of Nanxiang dialect and compares il with other dialects; based upon which the author put forward his own opinions hopping lo offer some language materi-als for the forward study of dialect in southern Hunan province.First, we have an introduction of the background meaning of the re-search topic and the approaches applied.the first part is the introduction of Zixing City's location, population and situation of language being used.the second part describes the phonology and harmonious relation of phonology.the third part analyzes the characteristics of consonants, vowels and tone.the fourth part describes the some cases of variant pronunciation in the dassical way and in the vernacular by this dialect about ils consonants, vowels and tone.The fifth part compares Zixing Nanxiang dialect with Yizhang chishi dialect, Zixing xingning dialect, changning dialect and nanchang dialect.the sixth part is some insights over the attribute of the Zixing.
