On Horror Novels In Ming-Qing Ancient Chinese Novels

This thesis aims to have a systematic study on horror novels in the Ming and Qing ancient Chinese language novels.To this point, the whole thesis falls into five sections. Firstly, defining the general concept of the horror novels, then emphasizing on the ancient Chinese language horror novels. Secondly, analyzing development of the whole ancient Chinese language horror novels. Thirdly ,studying contents of them from seven parts: 1.getting sb. into trouble by ghost and monsters2.taking revenge and appealing for redress of a wrong. 3.religion. 4.war and society.5.disturbances through nature events.6.venture into the unknown.T.others and so on. Fourthly, probing into artistic characteristics of them from five parts. Finally, inquiring into aesthetic value of them.
