Brief Comment On The Style Of Wang Zengqi's Novels

Among the contemporary authors, Wang Zengqi is a talent who emphasizes the style of writing, puts this theory into steady practice, and consequently, has developed his remarkable specific style of writing. Therefore, it has become a trend to study his style of writing when we understand his works. The style of writing, as a type of written form based on a set of word rules, unavoidably reflects an author's special psychological structure and other social and cultural spirits. At present, the studies on the stories by Wang Zengqi are on the surface, only involved in the word style of his works. As far as the deep structural analysis on the author's personalities and the social and cultural spirits are concerned, there is much more to be required though these points are mentioned in some researching works. Hence, in order to get a better understanding of the wonderful novel stylist, it is necessary and urgent to search for the factors that has brought the specific style of Wang's works, including the hidden law of writing (e.g. a novel is to recall), to combine the facial structure with the deep structure, which is illustrated in this dissertation.The dissertation includes three parts except for the introduction.In Part One, the novelties in Wang's styling practice are illustrated after a brief introduction on the New Age cultural surroundings. It is analyzed from four levels, namely, a novel is to recall, atmosphere is character, semi-essay, and developing a novel is textualizing words. Wang introduces a new garden of literatures by developing his own novel style on the basic of practice in four aspects of subjects, characters, structures and words.In Part Two the deep structure of Wang's novel style is analyzed starting from his literary accomplishment. The relationship between Wang's literary accomplishment and his writing style is explained through three aspects of his life experience, the traditionalculture and the impact on him exerted by the precedent authors. These three aspects have played a great role in forming his special style of writing.In Part Three the significance of Wang's novelty in novel styling is explained from the point of view of the literature history and the cultrurism. It is pointed out that the emergence of Wang's works from the contemporary literature settings is meaningful and significant by changing the aesthetic standards and accelerating the steps toward the notion of New Age novels. Meanwhile, the emergence of his characteristic novel style reflects the way of contemporary people to observe the world and enjoy the life, which has a vast reservoir of literature.
