Research On Strategy Of Dematerialization Design

In this paper, I talked about the trend of materialization and its impact on society, environment, ect.China has the fastest economic development rate around the world. How about people's material lives of city families? Can we live with less materials and live more eco? With these questions, I took a one week investigate on a Shanghai 3-people family. During investigate I also took a one day observation, collected first hand data. There were four sources of evidences I took, household products statistics, wastes generated in one week and whole day consume and interviews. The report was segmented in four areas: dwelling, household goods, consumer behavior and life style, water and energy.In our everyday lives, we can improve them towards ecologic through some changes. On this point , I took out some strategies, reduce consume of materials, improve our lives.As far as broad sense product design is concerned, I considered over every phase of developing step, and took out a series of strategies to make products more "eco-effective"Above all I had go on my study from a micro angle, then I study from a macro angle. We can establish a new eco-ecomical infrastructure towards sustainable.
