Fashion trend takes important effect on garment industry, and how to select the trend is a great trouble to fashion designers and its producers. Why do we want to dress ourselves? Mainly, not for practicality, but for psychogenic satisfaction : to reveal one's identity, self-restraint, life attitude etc. Complicated consumption psychology causes complicated fashion consumption. So fashion forecasters and designers should meet customers' need before they think of it. Also consumption psychology is helpful to producers and buyers.Fashion trend forecasters not only provide their forecasting results in advance but also popularize them. In fact, decisions made by authoritative forecasting institutes and large corporations are often those will be popular.Famous designers lead fashion trend dissemination. Usually, other designers in middle and small brands will copy those design from top grade brands with similar style. In fashion industry, buyers , not designers of most company are someone who decide what to sell. In one case, they choose designs from designers; and in another case, they give designers something called " Box". (including styles' kinds, amount, color... ) Fashion editors are always guiding customers to select those they selected. So we shouldn't ignore media's effect in fashion industry. We can see, the most important three factors: designers, buyers and fashion medias form a triangle. Disseminating fashion trend need effort of all members in fashion industry. Maybe someone is more important but everyone is in need.In modern society, medias take a more and more important effect to fashion communication. Magazines and newspapers are traditional and most powerful media. Internet as a new media affects the speed of fashion communication. However most customers used to get fashion information from the street clothes and those in show windows.Haute couture , pret-a-porter and garment are sorted by apparel's grade. Haute couture itself is at a loss. Actually, its value comes from other products of their same brand. (including man and teenager's wear, shoes , hats, perfume etc.) Often, haute couture collections are avant-courier and not applied, but they are artworks. Their element maybe popular after several years. Fashion trends are mainly comes from pret-6-porter collections.
