Negative Forms Of Ba-sentence In Mandarin

This thesis mainly consults Ba (把) -sentence with "Bu (不) ", "Mei(you) (没 (有))" and "Bie (别) ". I classifies several separate categories. Then the formal and functional characteristics of these categories are investigated. Four parts that compose the thesis are as follows:The first chapter focuses on the definition, the classification and the semantic meaning of the negative forms of Ba-sentence. The semantic meaning is classified into three categories: disposal(处理), bring-about (致使) ,and cognizance (认定).The second one deals with circumscriptions brought by negations and the forms. The main question is what causes "Bu (不)", "Mei (没) "and "Bie (别)" distributed differently in the negative forms of Ba-sentence.The third part focuses on the transfer of the negation focus and the causes of the transfer from snychronic angles, which are The transfer of the negation focus in the Ba-sentence, The Two Tendencies of Negation1, and The transfer tendency of the negation focus in the Ba sentence.In the last one, I consult the course of negation shifting and the transfer tendency of the negation focus in the Ba sentence from diachronic angles, and combine reasons of existence of Post-negation "Ba" sentence in mandarin from synchronic angles.
