The Marco Polo Bridge Incident was an abrupt incident concerning foreign affairs, which greatly affected Chinese history progress. It made National Government faced to severe political and martial crises and put Chinese into the do-or-die situation. Therefore, how National Government reacted to the crises and what countermeasures it took were critical. This essay based on the principle of "seeking the truth" , "seeking the reality" , "seeking the practice" and the possession of many history documents, studies and analyzes National Government' s countermeasures against "the July 7th Incident" from the angle of history and politics systematically.
