As a developing country in the Indo-China Peninsula, the economic achievement of Thailand dramatically attracts attention of the world. But just as the other developing countries, Thailand also faces numerous economic and social problems in its economy development progress. This article makes use of the Marxist material and historical theories and modernization developing economics theory as analytic methods. On the basis of the concerning economic statistics and works of the Chinese and foreign scholars, the article treatises several stages of the economic modern progress of Thailand in the post-war. It mainly analyzes unbalanced development in different sections of the country from the static and dynamic sides, and clarifies the tendency of the sectional margin. Furthermore, the article also states the Thailand government's countermeasures in the industry, agriculture and Buddhism... etc. The article tries to analyze some bad phenomenon and to see through many difficulties and challenges in development of Thailand. By this, can we comprehend the rough process of the developing countries in their modernization?This article includes three sections'.In the first section, on the basis of Walt. Whitman Rostow's theory, the progress of the Thailand is divided into four stages, the preparative stage, the transitional stage, the take-off stage and the mature stage.In the second section, the author analyzes the sectional margin of Thailand, and point out the trend of development in the future. At last, the author also elaborates the reason in different parts of Thailand from objective and subjective sides.In the third section, I have mainly developed the countermeasures of the government of Thailand. It includes industry policy, developing policy to remote villages and the effect of the Buddhism. Moreover, I also carried on the achievements and deficiencies of all these policies.
