Symbols are media for human understandings of the world. They're material tools for him to express his thoughts and feelings. Only by symbols can human convey his knowledge and communicate with each other. Indeed human's conscious mind is a world of symbols.Visual language is a special symbol system. The form and color, as the main visual elements of the appearance of the information, not only reflect the visual message among different things, but also are the tools and media for us to accept and convey the message. In a word, they form the word and symbol of the visual language. Visual language conies from visual elements when they are aligned regularly and logically according to a certain rule and logic. This article semantically analyses elements of sign construction, thus a semantic analysis of modern graphic design, gaining a new foothold in the field of graphic design.
