On Fredric Jameson's Postmodern Theories And Its Contemporary Value

Fredric Jameson is a famous American Neo-Marxist critic and postmodern cultural theorist.The theory of Fredric Jameson characterized by both marxism and postmodernism.Basic on adsorbing and referring the Mandel Ernest's late Capitalism theory,the Raymond Williams's three kinds of cultural theory and Marxist on the theory mode of production,Fredric Jameson analyzed the postmodern cultural characteristics under the practical background of the capitalism era by using the methods of total and dialectics,and defined the post-modern culture as the dominant form of late capitalism culture.Jameson's postmodern cultural theory not only broads our perspective of cognizing the capitalist culture,but also provides an important theoretical guidance and practical basis for the cultural construction in our country.This paper interpreted the Jameson's Postmodern Theories by using the method of text research and material analysis.At first,the article introduced the formation of Jameson's postmodernism culture theory and defined the theoretical nature of Jameson's theory by outlining the theoretical source and real background.Then,the article explained the main content and the manifestation of Jameson's postmodernism cultural theory and has systematically presented its theoretical framework.Finally,the article related the theory to the practice guided us not only focus on the reality of Jameson's late capitalist culture,but also inquire the opportunities and challenges presented in the culture development process of the third world as well as China,adhere to the principle of commonness combined with individuality,and flexible using Jameson's culture theory to analyze the cultural development of different countries in the era of globalization.This article took Jameson's postmodernism cultural Theories as the theoretical backup to tap the modern value of his theory and analyze the cultural development status and direction of the capitalist countries and the third world countries as well as China under this theory angle.It resulted in thinking about the challenges and opportunities in the current developed culture.
