Commonly, the eastern part of Anhua County is called Qianxiang and the western part Houxiang. There is a big difference between the dialects of the two parts though both of them belong to Xiang Dialect. The former falls into the categories of Changyi, and the latter the categories of Loushao. However, what is the dividing line of the two dialects? No one has touched upon it yet. So I went there and made a investigation of the dialects, the four areas such as Taoxi, Shangma, Changle, Dongshi between Qianxiang and Houxiang. Besides, I defined the boundary of the two xiang dialects in Anhua County through comparing them. The thesis consists of five parts. The first part generally introduces Anhua County's location, history, nation and exiting accents. It also gives the distribution of Changyi dialect and Loushao dialect in Anhua County. The second part describes the phonetic systems of Qianxiang and Houxiang. At the same time, it displays phonetic and lexical differences of them. The third part describes the phonetic systems of Taoxi, Shangma, Changle and Dongshi. It also displays phonetic and lexical differences of them. The fourth part makes a systematic comparison of phonetic system and some words among Qianxiang, Houxiang, Taoxi, Shangma, Changle and Dongshi. The rest of the thesis has been given the author's idea of the boundary between Changyi dialect and Loushao dialect in Anhua County.
