Begin at the gender question in the deep level of culture, towards the expectation of Feminine image in traditional culture, The task of this dissertation is to rediscover the Chinese classical Feminine image that made by history and literature from the visual angle of feminism. I think that Feminine image is an imagination thing made by social collectivity in essence and it is also an fabrication of culture. The main creator and reader of Chinese ancient feminine image were male, The molding of she indicate the thoughts and desire of male and the ego of them. The Chinese ancient female always exist as non-self-determination existence. The whole paper composed by four parts, the former two parts is the description of the Feminine image of Chinese ancient literature. The text before late Ming dynasty establish the basic model of the non-self-determination image of female from the two aspects: status and charm. The text between late Ming and early Qing give prominence to three new type female: callet, talent girl and ability female who incarnate the efforts to try to breakthrough the prescribing of traditional feminine image from three aspects: beyond the mark of morality, beyond the mark of status, the female as male assistant., but the female non-self-determination is still unchanging ultimately. In the third and fourth parts I try to elucidate the cause that forming the female non-self-determination. In the third parts I point out that this five aspectsincludes the system of inheriting from father to son, the orientation of ethic relationship, the dream of male, the incarnate of male desire in competence society and embodiment of frustration existent experience respectively have relationship with different characteristics of feminine image of Chinese ancient novels. The fourth part emphasize that female also should take the responsibility of forming the scarcity of female self-determination by themselves, and actually the female cater to the male's desire, and thereby made the existence misfortune designedly or not designedly.
