Wu Yin Ji Yun was published in 1208 and edited by HanDaozhao who lived in JinDynasty. It is a rhyme book that is based on Guang Yun.The editer rectified, amended and rearranged Guang Yun on the theory and the method of Deng Yun.The book has a deep and wide influence in the history of Deng Yun.Qie Yun Zhi Nan was published in 1336,which was more than one hundred years later than Wu Yin Ji Yun, and edited by LiuJian who lived in YuanDynasty. It is one of the five famous rhyme diagrams in the history of Chinese Deng Yun.LiuJian said in the preface that his diagram had a connection with Wu Yin Ji Yun. So it is worth studing the connection of these two books and the sound systems each reflects .The thesis compares the sound systems of Wu Yin Ji Yun and Qie Yun Zhi Nan based on the theory of historical comparison.First we rearrange the documents, turn Wu Yin Ji Yun to rhyme diagrams for comparison. Then we analyze and compare the consonants, rhymes and tunes, especialthe rhymes of these two books on reference to Guang Yun regarding She as the unit.Through this we can find the correspondences and differences between them, the regulations of changing, then we build two sound systems identified by the rhyme articles that can explain the changes of actual language.Through comparison we find Wu Yin Ji Yun and Qie Yun Zhi Nan do not reflect the actual sound system. Some of the rhymes are according to the old rhymes, some of them come from the actual language. They wander between traditional Deng Yun and actual language changes. They belong to transitional rhyme books or diagrams from Guang Yun to Zhong Yuan Yin Yun. Qie Yun Zhi Nan is nearer to the actual language of Song and Jin Dynasty than Wu Yin Ji Yun.
