The Spirit Relationship Between Luxun And Hushi On Individuality Liberation

Luxun and Hushi are the most important persons on China contemporary literature history and antilogy history, they delegate two different types intellectuals. They lead Wusi new culture movement by different thoughts and practices, and affect the direction of the china modernization. For recent decades, there have been thousands of research articles on Luxun or Hushfs thoughts and works. But there are few articles on Lu and Hu's comparative research. The author tries to analyze their thoughts during new culture movement from individuality liberation, and find same points between them, that is, caring for the humans and pursuing the humanity liberation.There are four parts in this article. The first part hackles the formation of their individuality liberation thoughts. When they study abroad, they look through many books on west culture, consider traditional culture, form the thought of individuality liberation and perfect it. During Wusi movement, they propagandize Ibenism, and try to construct the thought of humanity liberation, attack the traditional ethic view. In the second, third, and fourth parts, author analyze their immanent inspirit relation from different sides. Humanity liberation comes down to the relation between individual and society consequentially. In this point, both of them recognize the oppose state between "inspirit fighter", "separate individual" and the crowd, and crowd oppress individual in name of the most. But simultaneously, they also recognize the active relationship between them which is expressed as "small self and "big self by Hushi. They are not negative, but try their best to enlighten the crowd. Their action put up the intellectual's duty. In 20th China, individuality liberation faced cumber from traditional ethic view, in that they also criticize it. Unlike predecessor, they infuse person's initiative to criticize process, and attack traditional woman view and child view. They point out that the evil of it is persecuting the humanity and call on the environment that is benefit for humanity. The most different point is different views on democracy between them, one supports it and anther opposes it. But if consider it thoroughly, we can draw a conclusion that their points both come from humanity, they have same original intention. From these points, we can summarize objectively: they are strikingly resemble on comprehending China traditional culture, they pursue individuality liberation in their lives and afford the road sign for China modernization.
