For the whole phenomenological philosophy movement, intentionality is a key theorem, which is also closely connected with the phenomenological aesthetics. Every phenomenologist has different understanding for it. On the basis of comparison and comprehension to the intentional theory concerned by Bruntano, Husserl, and Merleau-Ponty, this paper revealed it's inheritance and difference of the three phenomenologists, and analyzed the Phenomenology of Aesthetic Experience of Mikel Dufrenne, whose theory was mainly about aesthetic object, aesthetic consciousness, transcendental emotion. Thinking that his analysis of basic framework and detailed conclusion of the Phenomenology of Aesthetic Experience was in the theoretical frame of the intentionality of phenomenology esp. Merleau-Ponty's theory. At the same time, Dufrenne combined the theory of phenomenology with the transcendental conception of Kant through expounding the phenomenology of aesthetic experience. Having studied the aesthetics in the whole movement of phenomenological philosophy, he further developed the intentional theory of phenomenology.
