Issue On The Modernity Of The Prose In 90s

"The Fashion for Prose" is a remarkable phenomenon in the 90s of last century in the field of literature. The style of prose achieved unparalleled prosperity and development, and has profound words of modemity.In this article, through out the history and in the circumstances then existing, combining the theory of modernity,the author tries to elaborate the content and the way of prose writing in the 90s, with the method of phenomenology and from the respect of studying the original text, and to point out the deficiencies as well. This essay includes four parts: The first part describes, macroscopically and diachronically, the modernity characteristic of the 90s' prose and makes an overview of the 90s' prose through putting them in the historical circumstances of the whole 20th century. The second part elaborates the content of the modernized language of the 90s' prose from two points of view: the modernized value orientation and the modern aesthetic principle. With analyzing the form of prose ,the third part analyzes concretely the way of prose writing inheriting the tradition and breaking through the tradition. And the last part is the conclusion, dealing with self-criticism and objective reflection of the modernization of the 90s' prose creation based on the foregoing analyzing.
