Wei Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties were a very chaotic epoch, featured as the military holding the real power. In this period , Shanxi and its capital-Jinyang had very important effects , especially during the Eastern Wei and Northern Ch'i Dynasties . So Jinyang had also been called "Ba-Fu" and Another Capital at that time . This thesis intends to make a study on the reasons why Jinyang shaped such distinctive status and their influences.The thesis consists of four parts - the introduction , the text and theconclusion.The introduction gives a brief explanation of the research condition of Jinyang as well as the way of thinking of this thesis.The text make an omnifaceted analysis of Jinyang 's status from four parts . Chapter One , makes brief description of the shaping about Jinyang as "Ba-Fu" and Another Capital. Chapter Two , explores the systems of Jinyang as "Ba-Fu" and Another Capital . Chapter Three is the focal point of the thesis, probes the reasons Why Jinyang became "Ba-Fu" and Another Capital from different angles .Chapter Four based on the analysis of the result of Qi-zhou confrontation each other , studies the significance and influence of Jinyang's special status .To sum up , Jinyang had already turned into the true central city of politics , eonomics and culture during the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi Dynasties . This change was not accidental but inevitable , and had made significant influences on dynasties that followed.
