The Exchange Between The Scholars And Style Of Poems In Early Song Dynasty

In early Song Dynasty, that is to say, in the three periods of Taizu,Taizong and Zhenzong ,which were from 960 AD to 1022 AD ,the achievement of poems has been divided into Bai-style,Kun-style,Wantang-style since this conclusion was made by FangHui at the end of Song Dynasty. From then on, the research workers were doing their researches. They once said that the exchange of poems was very prosperous. For example, The Two Song Dynasty Literary History written by Chen Qianfan and Wu Xinlei once pointed out that the exchange of poem is very popular in early Song Dynasty. However, what was the concrete condition of the three periods?what characteristics were formed in the activities of exchange of poems?what were the functions of the activities of exchange to the creation of the exchange of poems?what were the connections between the prosperity of the exchange activities of poems and the literary style in Early Song Dynasty?Till now, these problems have not been discussed specially. The article will reveal the cause of all kinds of styles of Song Poems and the reason why the tone of Song Dynasty was not formed by means of depicting the activities and characteristics of the exchange of poems and their relations. The article can be divided into five sections.1. Introduction: This part deals briefly with current research situation of the exchange activities and the exchange of poems in early Song Dynasty, puts forward some remaining problems and states the significance and methods of this study.2. The exchange activities of poems mainly consists of three aspects. They were the exchange between the monarch and his subjects, the exchange between the scholars and the edit of the poetry.3. From the existing documents, many people attended the activity and many works were created. As far as the question is concerned, the article will argue " the exchange of poems written by TwoLi"and "the exchange of poems by XiKun". Discussion will be carried out from the following two aspects.(1) The exchange of poems by TwoLi leads to the style of expression of feelings and embodyment of mood in the early Song.(2) The initiation of writing in an ornate style and using elegant words in early Song Dynasty caused by the exchange of poems by XiKun.4. The connections of activity of the exchange of poems and the poems that were exchanged.(1) The activity can promote the works of the scholars.(2) The influence of the exchange of poems to the change of style in different schools.5. Concluding remarks: Probe into the cause of the formation of the trend of these activities; conclude the role and influence of the activities.
