Research Of The Zha Family's Poetries Of Haining In Qing Dynasty

As one of the most famous aristocratic families of Jiangnan area in Qing dynasty, the ZHA family of Haining made great influence not only in the field of politics, but also in the field of culture. The ZHA family of Haining had distinctive family culture and educated many talents in Qing dynasty, masses of them making achievements in the field of literature and art, especially on the writing of poetry. Zha Jizuo, Zha Shenxing, Zha Sili and their cousins, sons and nephews composed the well-known organization of the ZHA family's poets in the early Qing dynasty. But many other poets of this family have not been studied except Zha Shenxing. This treatise expounds the poetries of the Zha family of Haining in Qing dynasty as a whole the first time and we hope it will contribute to the research of this thesis.The whole treatise is divided into three parts. The first part offers a terse whole feature of the ZHA family's poetry tradition, including this family's cultural tradition, the general situation of the poets and the reasons why so many poets of the ZHA family come forth in Qing dynasty.The second part expounds the content and ideas of the poems of the ZHA family's poets in three aspects. One is the poems which describe theexperience in tour. They not only show us colorful landscapes and folk customs, but also concern for the people's suffering in the special background. Second is the poems which reflect all kinds of sentiments among people in the category of morality, such as relationship, friendship, love and so on. Third is the poems which reveal poet's personal experience and savvy to the life and society. The third part dissertates style and features on literature and art of the poems of the ZHA family. Affected by the specific era and academic atmosphere of the end of Ming dynasty and the beginning of Qing dynasty, the ZHA family's poets in Qing dynasty could be divided into two phases, one is the poets born in Ming dynasty and the other those bom in Qing dynasty. So their ideas on literature and art and their style and feature of the poems were different correspondingly. The former adored the poems of Tang dynasty and the tune of their poems is impassioned, and the latter adored Song and the tune is docile and meek. The technique of baimiao is the character and tradition in poem's writing of the ZHA family of Haining.
