The Study On The Poetry Of Fang Yue

The Jianghu Poetic School is a complex poetry school which appeared in the later South-Song Dynasty. The research on its appearance, development and member's works has already made massive progresses. Many scholars has done some research on Fang Yue who is taken as a representative poet of this school of poetry, but the systematic research has not yet presented. The author selects the poetry of Fang Yue as the object of study, has not limited to his school ownership, but made every objective and just effort, to do the analysis and the research on his creation. The thesis is constituted by an introduction and four chapters. The beginning is an introduction which describes whether Fang Yue is a Jianghu Poet. Through the analysis on Jianghu Poetic School, Jianghu School, Jianghu Poets, Poets of Jianghu School, Poets of the series of Jianghu Collection, connected with the biographical experience, the situation of making friends and the poetic style of Fang Yue, the author thinks that Fang Yue should belong to the Jianghu Poetic School, his poems have thick Jianghu poetic taste. But his works benefits from many poets, the poetic orientation is also complex and diverse, his poem belongs to the Jianghu School, is also"the deviation from the school".The first chapter is an outline which studies on the biography and the thought of Fang Yue. His life may be divided into two times, which contain studying, studying away from home and serving in the government's office, the change, the seclusion. In the rise and fall of the political career, he used the poetry to record the social reality in the later South-Song Dynasty in precariousness, and the thought appearance and the mental journey as a patriot proposing fight. The first half of his life in studying and studying away from home has different influence on his personality's formation, mature and later life course, the literary production and other aspects afterwards. The latter half of his life is unstable. This time may be divided into four stages according to his four rises and falls in his political career, which come to an end in resignation from office or begging to return secluded home.The second, the third and the forth chapter constitute of the main body of the thesis, elaborated the ideological content and the artistic feature of the poetry of Fang Yue separately. The time's good fortune, teachers and friends' influence and individual diligence urged him to write massive works with heart. However, the erroneous destiny and the rough official career cause him not to be a recluse, but to write many poems about mountains and woods. These poems describe his desire to seclude and happiness with countryside, which can't be separated from his various philosophy though and his hometown's nature, the humanities environment as well. The poems about things, seasons and other themes and contents also hold a large proportion in his whole poetry, which could tell the multiplicity and the richness of its thought and poetic creation.Fang Yue inherits from and innovates the cultural heritage which stayed behind from the predecessors; finally his unique artistic style is formed. His poems have thick Jianghu taste, filled with the sorrow bitterness of the life and spirit situation of Jianghu Poets. Fang Yue admired Lu You, Fan Chengda, and Yang Wanli who were affected by later Jiangxi Scholar. The esthetic appeal and the poetic content of the later Jiangxi Scholar are also inevitably manifest in the poetry of Fang Yue. In addition, Fang Yue takes the poems of late Tang Dynasty as an example and has a unique style finally. The theme of his poems takes vulgar as elegant, simple and elegant, but not vulgar; the language has strong prose tendency; the writing style is diverse. His works is filled with poetic principle and interest which fixed together. All these are artistic feature of the poetry of Fang Yue.
