On Influence Of Oriental Culture On Ancient Greek One

It' s known that ancient Greece and Roman culture is the source of western culture , but ancient oriental culture contributed great much to the Greek culture during the forming of it. Oriental cultue fused into Greece by means of trading, colony, warfare and travel, which included language, words, art, philosophy, religion, science and technology. Hither to , more and more scholars at home and abroad believe: westen civilization originated from the east.This essay tries to analyze the eastern root of the ancient Greek culture by studies the east elements in the Greek culture and the ways through which these elements spread. This essay is divided into four parts.The first part is the preface, it' s a brief introduction about recent studies which are from domestic and overseas scholars about the issue and the purpose why it is written.The second one presents the east elements in the Greek culture. It falls into four sub-parts. It analyzes root of oriental culture in ancient Greek culture by discussing east elements in ancient Greek language, words, literary, art,philosophy, religion, science and technology.The third one explains the ways by which the oriental culture was introduced into the western one. It spread and fused into ancient Greek culture by frequent foreign trading, successive colony, constant warfare and traveling here and there.The last one is epilogue. It summed up and commented the profound meaning of the influence on ancient Greek culture which brought by the east culture.
