Owning to the extremely care for the mankind's existence, C G Jung derived inspiration from the eastern traditional culture, especially the doctrines of Chinese Taoism. From some point of view, Jung almost expounded his psychological thought with Tao. His analytical psychology theory has absorbed many brilliant things of Lao-tuz's thought.Lao-tux is the founder of the Chinese Tao school of thought. The main idea of Lao-tux's philosophy is Tao. Tao is a complicated system. In this system, as a contrary and united totality, Tao keeps developing and raising itself with the contrary faces' diversion. At last, it returns to the natural harmonious and initial totality, and realizes the reversion of Tao. The fundamental quality of Tao is its natural characteristic. From its appearance, Lao-tux's Tao doctrine seems to be a kind of cosmos natural theory, but in reality it is a kind of humanistic philosophy. With human Tao including natural Tao and the natural Tao as the primeval point, he tried to make inquiry into the dig of the life's value and the harmony between human and nature. He insists the man's naturalization, the naturalization of society, the harmony of human and nature so as to reach the point of human and nature being one.Jung's Analytical Psychology is also a total personality structure theory. Personlity structure, like Lao-tuz's Tao, is a huge and complicated system. As a totality, personality is called Psyche, which is composed of three levels, consciousness, personal unconsciousness and collective uncousciousness. Among them, collective unconsciousness view is the greatest contribution that Jung has made to the psychology. It represents many kinds of Archetype. In the personality structure, each part that is contrary and united reflects the dialectical thought.During the process from' the beginning of personality to its purpose, there is also forward developing continuity. This process iscalled individuation, which is the process of reservation of Tao actually. In the same way, Jung thinks that mankind's natural quality is also an initial harmonious totality, which is similar to the initial harmony of Tao. This kind of harmonious self is both the starting point and the goal point of personality development. The highest state of personality development is self-realization and selfhood. It reflects Jung's dream of the combination of human and nature and his eagerness of return to spiritual home.In the highly developed modern society, the realistic meaning of Jung's and Lao-tuz's reflection of modern civilization appears more and more important. And their humanism has also exerted an inporceptable influence upon the late psychologists. In the more complicated society situation, the contemporary Chinese psychologists should obtain certain enlightenment from their thoughts, foster a Large-psychology viewpoint and devote themselves to the connection between the eastern and western cultural, in order to build a broad way for all moral beings to return to the spiritual home.
