Xiajiasi , one of the northern nationalities in Tang dynasty, originated from Jiankun in Han dynasty.lt had been conquered by Hun ,Sienpi and Turk. There was a confrontation between Xiajaisi and Huihu for a long time .Xiajiasi finally defeated Huihu in 840 (the year of kaicheng Fifth in tang dynasty). The state of Xiajiasi was set up at the seam time .Xiajiasi ,who resided at the upper reaches of Xienisai Rive for generations ,was one stronger branch of Turk in Tang dynasty. Its descendants were distributed over Russia which named Ji'erjisi and the province of Xinjiang and Heilongjiang of China which named Kerkz.The thesis systematicly sorted out the history of Xiajiasi.Using Chinese historical materials, the thesis regards as a thread to preliminarily research such things as: the origin of Xiajiasi ,the geographical location, the flourishing and declining history, the diplomatic relations, the customs and so on. By the historical linguistics, the thesis poses the origin and flowing direction of Xiajiasi ,and also , it reveals the origin the reason why Xiajiasi had so many names. The conclusion is the result of translation at different history times. By comparative analysis with other northern nationalities, the thesis expounds: Xiajiasi had its unique customs except for the same ones. The thesis refers to the inscription on the tablets of ancient Turk to clarify some facts: the earliest source of Xiajaisi, the time when Xiajiasi was related by marriage with Turk , the time when ARE called himself Kenan. It also replenishes two history events. One is that Later Turk attacked Xiajiasi. The other is that Xiajiasi struggled with Huihe. In Chinese documents , the historical materials of Xiajiasi were either confused or lacked. The thesis fills in the gaps of Xiajiasi State's history, drawing on the achievement, which were gotten by Chinese scholars researching the abroad Persian documents.
