Wang Yuyang was the leader in the field of poetry in the early of Qing Dynasty.The theory of verve that he originated,as the one of four poetry theories,played an important role in the field of poetry and in the history of Chinese classical poetry theories.He had been an offical for more than forty years.Being fond of fostering the young,He had many students.He had been to many places in his life, He was in Yangzhou seven years,he visited Xiyue,Nanhai,Qin,Jin,Luo,Shu,Min,Yue,Jiang,Chu ect.With his rich experiences,he's poetry was full of abundant contents including visiting beauty spots,creating folk ballads,praising history,cherishing the memory of his friends and his families,recalling his wife.These works begin with Wang Yuyang's theory of verve.Using beautiful and special poetry sentences based on hills,friendship and folk customs,he described his whole life.His poetry styles are as follows:The first one is implication.Special spirits is his distinctive style.The second one is generosity and boundlessness.The content is full of praising history.From this point,his talent is not shallow.The third one is sweet and charm.For example,there are many works and poems of recalling his wife and describing his life.Wang Yuyang's poetry of verve emphasices continuous spirit and delicate features,strengthering the sense of beauty,to make the works possessing high aesthetic value.
