From a point of comparison, this dissertation mainly discusses the changes of reportage creation in the early and later 1980's at three different levels: subject of creation, text and narration. Its purpose is to analyze the different characters, to outline the changing track, and especially to point out certain different contents of reportage creation in the two stages. The evolution of the subject of creation mainly reveals the change from concerning about political-social events to putting emphasis on the building of the rational spirit. At the same time, the text is also evolving from "politics-society" level to some new narrative contents such as the "ordinary person and matter", present cultural phenomena and historical affairs. Finally, the evolution of narration includes three levels: time, perspective and mode. To some extent, these changes symbolize the evolution of cultural backgrounds and ideological elements such as values, the manner of thinking and self-emancipation in 1980s.
