Philosophy?is human philosophy no matter what it is--- western, Chinese or other philosophy. its spirit is to solve the problem between freedom and certainty, to seek for the efforts to settle down and get on with human work which is to seek for ultimate significance of human life. It is also a rational form of ultimate care that people go beyond self. The kernel of the rational activity is to search for the world's ultimate origin or the deepest basis to find unity of the world and to know the world from most profound gradation or significance. It is the basis of ultimate explanation and value. This is just the internal and profound connotation. But, people are caught in the contradiction of limitation and limitlessness, life and death in born. People are particular and great because they are active. People seek for something beyond life on end. They live beyond life and create most valuable self. A word---- belief can express the ideological system that tries to explain?the meaning of seeking and the efforts that make the existence of people meaningful. Belief is a form of existence by which people can maintain selves and make ideal?or ultimate objective come true. People live, complete the ideological activity, increase quality of?life of promotes value and significance of self- subject. The essay tells: The kernel of Western philosophy is ontology. Its real significance is to seek for the possibility and basis of ultimate care. (From the nature to God then to the real life of people, and even scientific rational?and rational cognition) to have the superior form of belief and the kernel of philosophical belief in order to establish human real "Spiritual Homeland" to propel people to go beyond selves by practice in reality. The process makes philosophical rational cognition be suppressed and developed in superior form. The belief that comes from the discussion between Chinese and Western philosophy should be that people should go beyond selves in the process of limitless development then people can be real human being. People get but negate ultimate care, which exists in ideal. It is a belief originating from the real life and?establishing on the basis of rational cognition. It seeks for ultimate value from real life and by shaking off the trammels. There are FOUR parts in the essay. Part One:The lose of significance. The lose of philosophical belief. The essay tries to discuss the importance of basis of philosophical belief by searching for modern's human spirit and loses of philosophical significance of ontology. Part Two:Historical research for ontological?basis of philosophical belief. The essay tries to explain that the development of ontology is the soul of Western philosophy on the basis of occurrence and development of philosophical belief and to seek for the internal goal of going beyond selves and ultimate care. That is to seek for the kernel of philosophical belief on the basis of rational cognition. But it is a complex process that is positive--- negative ---- positive. Part Three:The road of philosophical belief to ultimate unity. By comparing different roads of Chinese and Western philosophical belief , the essay reveals Marxist Philosophy has achieved its goal in a higher level by criticizing and subletting the traditional ontology. The significance and value of people is not to go beyond the real world but in the real world. "Ultimate" exists by practicing, achieving and negating. Part Four:Philosophical belief:The real spiritual homeland of human being. The essay states the kernel role of philosophical belief in the spiritual world: it helps people reach the real world in a rational way and seek for the "human" life, freedom and all- round development. History has testified that carrying forward philosophical belief is the inevitable choice to go beyond human being self.
