The Studies Of The Image Of The Female Spirits In The Book "Liao Zhai Zhi Yi"

"Liao Zhai Zhi Yi" is considered to be the climax in the history of short story of classical Chinese. Apart from the art of literature, cerebration and consciousness, what impress us most is the various kinds of characters created by the author - Pu Song Ling. Among these vivid characters with different appearance, the relationship between human and spirits, especially the stories based on the relationship between men and woman-like spirits are the most amazing episodes. In the book "Liao Zhai Zhi Yi", many different types of female spirits are introduced and their appearance is in full and lively description. All these features were not so widely used before that tune. As a result, the theme of this thesis is to analyze the image of the female spirits, allowing people to have better and deeper knowledge of the spirits as well as letting people come to know more about this peculiar and valuable book in different aspects. The above mentioned goals can be attained through the development of the story, the sculpture of the main role - the female spirits, especially through the uniqueness and symbolism of the spirits.
