Zhang Ailin and Zhang Jie are great writer for their novels that theme is about marriage in china. Both of them are representative authors to care about female story even they are in different age, so their novels are worthy of study. Although many of the researches are focus on this theme, they are individual . This thesis tries studying them in a logical way and does a contrastive and synchronic research from female's viewpoint, which shows the women's hardship of breaking out the circle city; Chinese women's desire life; to what extent they are liberated and the condition of feminism have been discussed in this thesis .The whole thesis can be divided into four chapters all togetherThe first chapter: Cognition of female fateZhang Ailin's narration of marriage, which is like a coronach, depicts vividly women's inside anxiety, self-split of personality, and a sense of insecurity of life. Women in Zhang Ailin's novels are not entirely manipulated by others and have some aims to take action, but their actions are penetrated with a gloom breath. No matter their bodies or souls are all indulged in the lust. This makes it difficult to break out of the circle city and find out their definite direction of life. In this part, i state the variance of Chinese women's fates and the hardship of their struggle in the infiltration of orient and west culture, through three modes of marriage describe in zhang Ailin's novel-marriage of lust, marriage of abnormality, and marriage of old forms. From this we can see the auther's cultural standpoint and tendency of emotion.Zhang Jie's marriage narration tells a tragic of lost salvation, whichbrings forth a profound apperception of modern intellectual women prom , "seek man-seek love" to "deny men-deny love." Though women in Zhang Jie's works have complete self-identity, and they appear to have dashed out of the circle city. Still they have an unfortunate marriage, this misfortune is caused not only by the influence of the ages in which the dramatics personae lives but also by a kind of "concept": the stigma made by traditional man-centred cultural and social factors and historical inertia. Zhang Jie demonstrates women's struggle, but never points out the outlet in women's marriage: a real freedom of love. In this part , I try to analyse the downfall of male world by two aspects which symbolize the vanish of male family in zhang's marriage narration. The different attitude to the twin sex, which could embody the attention of the Zhang Ailin's standpoit and destiny history of female.The men who are perfect in the novel of Zhang Jie have changed with the downfall of the perfect edifice of women. Those deal roles which have changed from the Electra complex to Patricide complex.
