Studies On The Famous Cultural Lineage In The Jiangnan Area During The Ming-Qing Times

The Surname Ye in the Fenhu Lake, Wujiang County, was a famous cultural Lineage, which has been working on the water carriage in the Wujiang Area during the early Ming Dynasty. It became prosperous increasingly depending on the imperial examination system from the middle of Ming Dynasty. Until the end of Qing Dynasty, over three hundred years, it experienced the up and down of the court, the radical social changes, but maintained its prosperity. It produced many a bookman, kept on its stably local cultural status. On the view of socio-cultural history, based on the development of Ye Lineage from the Fenhu Lake in the Ming-Qing Times, this paper is to analyze its every cultural factor. We also hope to open out that the Jiangnan Area could foster the talented persons successively and keep its social cultural prosperity of the whole country during the Ming-Qing Times, just because of the appearance and existence of lots of famous cultural lineages such as the Surname Ye in the Fenhu lake. So, this topic not only has the value of academic research, but also is beneficial to present social cultural development, we believe.
