Zizek's ideological theory consists of two parts. The first part, Zizek , basing on the inspection and analysis on ideological status quo, distinguishes ideology into three forms: The first one is the ideology of being-for-itself, which is the ideology as "the collection of ideas". The second, ideology of being-in-itself, which is the ideology "existed in the forms of substance". The third is the ideology of being-for-itself and being-in-itself. Moreover, Zizek emphasizes the spectre of ideology exists anywhere. The second part is his theory of "ideological fantasy".Zizek's ideological fantasy is based on Lakan's theory of "the split subject". In Lakan's theory, subject must be symbolically castrated and split before he is admitted by the symbolic order. However, the castration is not complete and will leave some leftovers, which will enter the symbolic order and lead to its disorder and void——It symbolizes "social antagonism". Ideological fantasy can cover the disorder by modifying and filling up the void, and give society the meaning of integration. The mechanism of ideological fantasy is made up of master signifier, transference, identification, etc. What Zizek does is to go through the fantasy, to discover the mechanism of ideology, to reveal the logic of sublimity, and to look through the essences of ideology by symptomatic reading. Basing on the structural psychoanalysis, Zizek completely describes the status quo of ideology, and settles lots of problems of ideology. But after having penetrating the ideological fantasy, Zizek takes a compromise attitude of "post-Marxism" to "social antagonism". At the end of the essay, the author compares the ideological theory of Zizek, Althusser, Marx, and analyses the"ideological nature" creatively.
