Ideology Fantasy

Slavoj Zizek, who enjoys great prestige in contemporary academic circles, has been conducting a deep-going study of Lacaninan Psychoanalysis. From the angle of Lacaninan Psychoanalysis,he identifies ideology as a fantasy exsistency that constructs our society. This origional reflection of ideology in the contemporary society renews our knowledge about this significant issue, and greatly extends the scope of this concept. He has carried the work a step forward by looking into this concept in the relationship between people and their living condition, which invovles inter-subjectivity as its fundamental issue. Meanwhile, he creatively made part of his analysis Marxist theory in the perspective of Lacaninan Psychoanalysis. He assimilated Marxist commodity fetishism with discrimination and remolded it. Also, he mixed this theory together with psychoanalysis'concepts, such as"fantasy","transference","symptom"etc. It turns out that he has made excellent demonstration of the operation and the inter-subjectivity of ideology. And he has delineated deep psychological mechanism overlooked for a long time by pointing out that the society is an ideological construction,and that symptom spoils a society's develepment but is also the motive of it's develepment . Zizek's abundant analysis about our daily life, social activities and culture phenomena verifies his idea of ideology, and shows his theory's practical function and effect.
