Based on the basic concepts of epic, this paper, including two parts, will introduce and analyze the main content, background, and spread process, etc. of "Gesar". In the late section of the first part, I briefly talk about some major characteristics of the art style of talking and singing and features of talking and singing artists. The last chapter of the first part will focus on this paper's research object, the story content of "Xindan Internal Strife", which is one of "Gesar" Talking and Singing and pretty popular in South Gansu Tibetan region.In the second part, I first introduce in details my research method in studying the musical noumenon of "Xindan Internal Strife" - the spectrogram analysis method. Secondly, basing on the research result of of "Xindan Internal Strife", I will apply the spectrogram research method to summarize the frequency, specific time character, sound degree and structures of six melodies of the whole twenty one segments. In the summary, I will try to find out some regularities and unique characteristics of "Xindan Internal Strife", such as the first modifying word "wonayo" and decorative musical characters. I will rely on my major knowledge to analyze and discuss the musical composing concepts contained in "Gesar" in the late section of the second part. The composing method of lyric and opera, repetitive principle, non-climax, extemporaneous performance, and extemporaneous creative thinking will be addressed respectively. Those composing concepts illuminatingly and practically influence modern music composition.The purpose of this paper is not only to research the secret of music, but to find out the door through which I can do better research work for "Gesar" music. Furthermore,-III-I will gain many valuable musical experiences from "Gesar" and "Xindan Internal Strife", which can lead me to self-analysis and eventually build my composing style. Until now, in the whole world, the research papers of "Gesar" musical noumenon that I can refer to are very limited, so it is very difficult to find a systematic and complete research work of "Gesar" music. Although this situation brings much inconvenience to my research work, it is a real opportunity to make my work more theoretically and practically valuable. The tilde research method which I conduct is a new and suitable one for this kind of national music performed by individual, such as "Xindan Internal Strife" . From another angle, my own method can explore all aspects of'""s musical factors. Although incomplete, my paper including the research method, the research process and the result, tries to innovate a non-traditional Western musical research and creation way to analyze and compose musical works, which is the most important creative research result.Due to limited availability of current relevant research papers and materials and the immature new musical research method, this paper must have some errors and is subject to further improvement. Therefore, any comment is welcome and appreciated. I hope my paper can educe more research and creation relating to "Gesar" music and eventually lead to a new enthusiasm of "Gesar" music. In completing this paper, I have received the seasoned guidance and valuable advice from Prof He Xuntian. I am deeply appreciated of his help.
