Beauty image is the one that occurs very frequently and implicates very much. In the first part, the author tires the beauty image in the poems and Cis during pri-Qing Dynasty, Qing-Han Dynasty, Wei, Jing, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and analyses its evolvement. The beauty image originates from the poems of Qu Yuan, the patriotic poet. The literati of different dynasties express their subjective feelings by beauty image after him. Some of them express the relations between emperor and lieges through beauty image by way of simile; some express themselves worrying and pangs as heroes becoming old by the mode of beauty being old; some others combine the beauty image with the laments of spring and autumn to express their sighs of short living and youth running quickly with emotions and their eager feelings for successes. In the second part, the author discusses the reasons why the beauty image came into being and developed from the view of cultural anthropology. As we know, the generation of any image is the result of collective's unconsciousness, it relates to subject's life directly. Many tribes still were in matrilineal genes society around Chu during the time of Qu Yuan. In order to realize his "beautify politics" ideal, Qu Yuan sought for supports of other tribes by way of "wooing girls many times". Its generation is also relative to Chu's customs of weighing fete and respecting ghosts and gods. Since Qu Yuan, literati often talked themselves as beauty in simile, or talked the emperors as beauty in simile, there are deeply cultural roots why it was. It can not be separated from the aesthetic characteristic that poems stress connotation, the special social background of feudal society, the social position of literati and the effects of their predecessors. The lower social position of literati assembles the one of women in feudal society, which causes the echoes between the literati. Affected by the Confucian culture "angry but not complaining," so they can just water out their glooms by the cup of "beauty." In the third part, the author discusses the influences of beauty image to the Chinese literature. Literati of different dynasties externalize their subjective emotions by way of beauty image, which adds aesthetic feelings to senses. Though many writings have the sense of something like political demurrer, they also express a kind of sexed ideology of slave and appendage.
