Symbol culture in china has a long history. Symbol art, a special part of Symbol culture, are manifested in the rock icons and drawings, five-colored flags and stone carvings. Owing to its special visual image and imago communicate function, it has become artistic classics. This paper try to analyze from the view of modern semiotics research, and do analysis of characters for symbol art which have extreme high art value, discover its semiotics value under its art appearance at the same time.Nowadays, most studies are made from a historical perspective both in China and abroad such as the textual research on the icon of the carved stone. Few studies observe, analyze and ponder it from an artistic symbol perspective. There is not enough attention about it in the field. The paper based on artistic cognition and the Semiotics analysis of the Symbol art. It is an important way to research on this symbol art and modern design.As one of the medium for Tibetan culture, Tibetan symbol art form play a very important role in communication and convey of religion, folk culture and social information. Its semiotics and socialism value is very high. Sichuan, with the advantage of proximity, has a great resource of Tibetan culture. Not only Tibetan Buddhism and Ben-bo religion, but also the folk culture has a long history. There is an accumulation of plenty of symbol artistic classics. The Ming symbol in Tangka art, Yongzong symbol in the Bon-bo religion and Jingang-Jie symbol have spread widely and become very popular. The fruit of extensive Tibetan artistic studies opens the road for the research of Tibetan symbol art.Symbol art is a synthetic art. It not only has great importance for the research of Traditional culture, but also has profound influence on the graphic and semiotics research of modern design. Its concise artistic form and rich visual expression are good materials in the research of graphic design. Symbols already appear in proximate design. The value of the art can be understood more thoroughly through researching it.
