A Courageous Femail Scholar--The Research Of All The Life And Thought Of Chen Hengzhe

Chen Hengzhe(1890-1976),who was born in Wujin Jiangsu province,old name is Chen Yan,pen name is Sophia. She is the earliest female scholar,writer,poet,proser and historian.She received culture edification when she was young. She passed the entrance examination of Tsinghua,and became one of the female students broad of Tsinghua.Through her experience and education,she had great achivement on 1iterature,education and history.As a female scholar, her status and effect in hi story of Chinese contemporary 1 i terature and education should not be ignored.ThiS thesiS tries to diSCUSS all her life ,her thought,her writing achievement and her social relationship,through these discussion to recur the style and the thought of former scholar.And offer use for reference to our research. In the first part,the thesiS introduces a11 her life and some persons who had important influence to her.And in the second part,it discusses her thought including four parts about history and country, women problem and healthiness and education of youth as well. In the third part,it introduces her achievement of literature and history.At the end,it analyzes the relationship about between Chen Hengzhe and Hu Shi.Their friendship was so chaste and firm.
