Bao Shi-Chen has experienced Qianlong, Jiaqing, Emperor Daoguang, Xianfeng fourdynasties. As of the late Qing dynasty calligraphers and Calligraphy theorist,hedecided to carry the "tablet" banner firmly after Ruan Yuan. He gave a highevaluation of calligraphy and praise to the North monument in his great work of “YiZhou Shuang Ji”. which promoted the Tablet an indelible contribution to the tideeventually. Undeniably, Bao Shi-Chen played a part in the process of development ofthe Qing dynasty stele with "past". However, his discussion and praise is just oneaspect of the study in his "North monument ", since people just tend to confine him tothe narrow side for a long time, this understanding of comprehensive, objective valueis undoubtedly biased on Bao shichen in calligraphy. Based on this, we need do anin-depth discussion and research on the book necessary to Bao Shi-Chen thought.There are four parts composed: it comes to Bao Shi-Chen’s life and writings, bookideas of form, content and effect of Bao Shi-Chen thought for a holistic care. Firstly,the author Will make objective investigation to Bao Shi-Chen’s living and article sbefore discussing his calligraphic thoughts.Secondly, the author will make a detaileddiscussion to Bao Shi-Chen’s social and culture positions and the origin tocalligraphic thoughts, respectively from the retro trend, and epigraphy of the Qingdynasty’s prosperity. Thirdly, the author make a full analysis and objective evaluationto his calligraphic thoughts,it mainly from four aspects to discuss, including thetechniques, script theory, product reviews and double natures of calligraphicthoughts. The last part lists the great influences of Bao Shi-Chen’s calligraphicthoughts and discuss the form of "Bao’s pie" and Zhao Zhi-Qian and Kang You-Wei.As fair and objective attitude, I will put in order comprehensively from the above fouraspects to Bao Shi-Chen thoughts, in order to learn of a deep, three-dimensionalawareness.
