The Analysis Of Nisei And Assimilation Problem

This paper attempt to recall the Japanese American's history briefly and analyses the factor which affect the Nisei's assimilation and make proper appraise on the status of Nisei in Japanese American assimilation. There are there 4 parts in this paper that is introduction, main body, conclusion and reference. The introduction introduces the situation of current research about the Nisei, sums up and summarizes briefly the relevant research products of foreign academic communities; introduces the research approach and goal of this paper, defines and explains some main concepts. The main body makes up five parts: Part one reviews the history of Japanese American's history including the situation and reason of ancient Japanese American, Issei, Nissei, Sansei and Yossei's status. Part two analyses the influence of U.S government's wartime policy to Japanese American in World War II. This part includes how the U.S government make the decision to evacuate and relocate the Japanese Americans and the wartime policy's influence to the Nisei's assimilation. Part three analyses the influence of Japanese tradition culture in Nisei's assimilation including the community spirit, shame culture, and relative culture. Part four talks about the Japanese community's influence in Nisei's assimilation. In this part the author offer the conception of community and expatiate the reason of Japanese community shape and character. Then analyses the influence of Japanese community and community organization's influence on Nisei's assimilation. Part five in this part the author make appraise on the statues and significance in Nisei's assimilation. First the Nisei's assimilation makes active influence on the whole Japanese American social status and accelerates the processes of Japanese American assimilation. Second the study of Nisei's assimilation has some values in changing the race relationship. Nisei's wartime experience and the cooperation with other race in struggle of right have active significance in changing the race relationship. After 9.11 incidence there are fury dispute in how to deal with Arabian Americans therefore the study on Nisei history has practical significance. The conclusion summarizes briefly the full paper and draw the conclusion: The history experience, tradition culture and community is the characters in Nisei's assimilation and these chat actors accelerate the processes of Nisei's assimilation and Nisei's assimilation decide and affect the cause of Japanese American's assimilation.
