With the market economy transformation in China, people's social life and thought value sense have been influenced and changed profoundly, and the mass cultures which suit the development of consumptive society have entered into its market industrialization process, which has given prominence to the consumptive, secularized, popularized and game-featured culture form produce pattern to value direction . Within the context of market economy and the mass cultures, the contemporary literal criticism is facing challenges of adjustment and construction. In the many-faceted whole literal criticism pattern, it shows an overall trend towards commercialization, media- orientation and culturalisation, which embodies a variety of literal criticism types and styles, and a diversification of critical subject composition and value standpoint. This development and transformation, on the one hand, has gone with the tide of the current development. The literal criticism, full of market competitiveness, has been able to give timely responses to the current literal reality, obtained a broader growth space, and facilitated its self-development and self- improvement; On the other hand, suffered from the strong impact of commerce and media, the contemporary literal criticism has fallen into a plight of confused critical subject ideology and value standpoint on the same level. Thus, the subjectivity of the contemporary literal criticism, which aims at a healthy orderly development of the contemporary literal criticism, on the modernity value standpoint, as well as an establishment of distinct subject ideology, steady value standpoint and self-awareness is imperative under the situation.
