From Humanity To Society

Every theory on human being begins with definition of the nature of human being. The theory about the nature of human being is one of the most important questions in Marx's theory on human,"Humanity" and "Society" are the most important two conceptions and categories. In the "Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844", Marx explained the nature of human being as labor and practice,and call it "the humanity nature". He believed that "the humanity nature" is just "the free and self-conscious activity". In his dissertation thereafter, Marx abandoned this point of view and turned to discuss this question in the "social" aspect. He focused on the relationship between man and society and saw man as "social existence". Therefore, in order to understand Marx's point of view on society and the nature of human being profoundly and accurately, we have to trace back to the whole course through which Marx investigate the nature of human being and analyze the forming of Marx's view on the nature of human being.In this paper, the formation and evolvement of Marx's view on human being was discussed by analyzing Marx's original manual and some paper work in this area. We tried to traced back to Marx's original discussing tone and combed some ideologist before Marx as Hegel, Feuerbach, M.Hess and Stirner about their view on the nature of human being to make clear Marx's view on the nature of human being in his early books. We focused on how Marx's view on the nature of human being evolved from humanity nature to society nature and emphasized that Marx's view on the nature of human being was based on scientific understanding of labor practice and society. In the end ,I will expound that the nature of human being is the social and historical existence of man on the basis of practice ,so as to deepen the understanding of the nature of human being.
