Content:Tang XianZu is a prominent literator of the Ming Dynasty. His poetic theory and poetry is unique and particular. He objects to emphasizing style and skill and only learning from the splendid Tang Dynasty, which will limit the talent of poets and lead to fake. Therefore, he puts forward the viewpoint of poem from emotions and maintains that poetry shall be true and reflect intelligence.Tang XianZu carries out his theory, with an impressive feeling running through his poetry. The theme is abundant, including steeping in Buddhism and Taoism, being interested in politics, traveling and communicating, etc. He is expert in jueju and gexing . He not only consciously learns from Wei and Jin Dynasty in some aspects, such as the arrangement of narration and description, selection of words, sentence,structure, and so on, but also absorbs the spirit of esthetics--elegant style.
