Aristotle is the philosopher who first presented a rather complete theory of virtue.Hedefines the virtue of Ethics for the practical behavior seeking mean in life, or the behavior contributing to live a happy life. His virtue is about how to improve one'scharacter, even about life's ideal—happy knowledge. All his efforts turn a form that ration builds generally effective ethical principles. It is a failure that the pure moral of emotionalism tries to apply to contemporary that life is exceeding, and the tradition of his virtue has a great academy to lay a foundation value and modern practical value. This paper is based on Aristotle's works, especially his 《Ethica Nichomachea》, and some new researches both at home and abroad about Aristotle. And I also first try to write from ancient Greece's peculiar linguistic context and virtue, try to understand the meaning of Aristotle's virtue, try to perfectly study its essence and content and some other important problems, and try to recovery the original appearance of his virtue of ethical thoughts, and excavate its rational kernel.Draw support from Aristotle, I investigate the development of contemporary society and the transition of man's practicing type, analyze the modern ethical predicament, and draw the conclusion at last : the deep significance of Ethics—the loss of sense of the virtue have caused all sorts of ethical predicaments, and I think the aim of Ethics is to teach people how to become philanthropists, but not to simply build and keep the norms of Ethics, not to show the simple emotion with the wind—whatever is all right. Only the Ethics in which virtue is the leader factor can be a inner moral standard in the world of human lives, and can really rich and improve man's spiritual world. At the last part of my paper, I try to discuss a possibility—how to build contemporary ethical norms and attempt to offer the ethical support on man's all—round development, that is, constructing a sort of ethical norm which is leaded by virtue and in which the normal ethical normal forms combine with virtue so that "virtue—norms—moral behavior" can get united in sorts of being of man.
