Shi Guangnan, one of the excellent musicians after the founding of the People's Republic of China, is an outstanding and rare melody genius. He is accepted by the public by his beautiful melody, especially his lyrical songs, which have great influences on Chinese' musical lives and help to establish "modern music style of Chinese nation" from 1970s to 1980s, when he is labeled as "modern singer" and "people musician". The articles in modern academic circle of vocal music mainly discuss revolutionary songs of workers and peasants from 1920s to 1950s, singing activies for relieve, activities of folk songs, dramas of folk songs, especially the problems on melody works from Nie Er, Xian Xinghai, Huang Zi, Qing Zhu and so on, however, after the founding of China, those thesises on the musical works' problems on musicians Shi Guangnan, Gu Jianfen, Shang Deyi and so on are fewer. All in all, this thesis intends to analyze systematically the artistic songs and other two operas of 1970s and 1980s written by Shi Guangnan and to reveal their characteristics and specialty, to analyze the social influences of those vocal musical works and to try to spot out the drive and power which stipulate China modern vocal musical education to a better future.
