Rapid development in the motion picture and television industries has brought about amultitude of vocal-musical productions. These works manifest art itself, and are anembodiment of human emotions. Therefore, they are an extremely precious art form enrichedwith culture and trusted with the preservation of emotions. Through analysing these works,their practical merits are further unveiled: not only are they used as teaching material inprofessional education, but they also play an important role in the wider, social, musicaleducation.This three-part Master’s Thesis illustrates and evaluates vocal-musical works in the filmand television media, and focuses on their roles in the following three aspects: professionalvocal-music education, social music education, and as condensation of human emotions.Through analysing a few representative individual cases, this Thesis aims to pronounce theeducational and sociological values of these vocal-musical works, and hopes to contributepositively to researches in the wider context of professional music education and social musiceducation. |
