Analysis On The Language Characteristics Of Traditional Children's Song

Traditional children's song, a branch of literature, is of great charm. There are many traditional children's songs in China. They are loved by generations of children. This paper describes the language characteristic of traditional children's songs in phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and rhetoric, and argues the functions of folk children's songs to children's development. What's more, this paper discusses some distinctive aspects of children's language presented by traditional folk children's songs, which include shifting the order of sentences or changing the word implication for harmonizing verse; the form of the repeated word; the special vocabulary and the pattern of sentence.
