In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,children's learning motivation is weak due to the differences in age and the knowledge they are exposed to,which is quite different from that of adults.The teaching of Chinese for children should not only proceed from the purpose of learning,but also focus on learners' interest and confidence.Teaching nursery rhymes is an effective way to arouse learners' interest in learning and improve their communicative competence.Learning Chinese through children's songs can achieve good results: in terms of language,students can quickly and efficiently master Chinese knowledge;In terms of emotion,students are much more interested in learning nursery rhymes than in learning vocabulary directly,so children are more likely to accept this kind of learning.At present,the goal of the local Chinese education courses in the Philippines is to improve students' communicative competence and test-taking ability.The teaching methods are changing from paying attention to pronunciation accuracy to paying attention to fluency and from grammar knowledge to communicative competence,which is of great significance in Chinese teaching.With this change,scholars' research results on the use of children's songs in Chinese teaching have also emerged in an endlessstream.The first chapter starts from the historical relationship between China and the Philippines,generically describes the significance and purpose of TCSL education,summarizes the achievements made by scholars,and then determines the innovation points of this study by summarizing the previous studies.The second chapter states the theoretical background of children's teaching,discusses children's special physiological and psychological characteristics,and expounds the particularity of children's songs,and the relationship between children's songs and Chinese teaching.The third chapter first introduces the traditional classification and selection criteria of children's songs,then selects the children's songs in the Chinese textbook used by the author in the Chinese school,designs two practical teaching cases in different age groups,and on this basis,analyzes the role of children's songs in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The fourth chapter,based on the above theoretical background and teaching plan,puts forward some Suggestions for teachers to teach Chinese as a foreign language,and summarizes how teachers can reasonably use nursery rhymes in class,so as to effectively improve learners' Chinese level and ultimately enhance their communicative competence.Finally,the fifth chapter summarizes the results and puts forward some opinions and Suggestions on the current Chinese teaching methods for children in the Philippines.
