Having a great influence in the New China's literary world and being the leading figure of the mainstream literary thoughts in the contemporary China, Meng Wang is a mirror of the contemporary China literary world. In his career of more than half century, he subtly focuses his creations all the time on grasping the pulse of the age, attending the reality and reflecting lives. His works, vividly and deeply, describes and reflects the changes of social lives after the foundation of the New China.Through the carding of his more than half century's literary life, this thesis is trying to review the influence of folk experiences on Wang's literary creations and his life. By perceiving the folk trend of his works, it also tries to post the "remold" function of the folk to Wang and the folk experiences causing Wang's constantly enhancing the consciousness of the producing main body who follows a spiritual track of self search to self lost and to self discovery and further to self surpass and spallation.Closely related with the reality and directly from folk experiences, the folk versions of the texts take root to the daily lives. Therefore, they can form a dialogue mechanism with an incomparable power of real life of their talks. This is the spring of why Meng Wang's creations can still keep a fresh life force. From the aspects of Wang's lives and literary course, especially the sixteen years of frontier lives with SinKiang and Uigur folks and the rich and profound multi-cultures of minorities newly endowed Wang with new experiences, new views, new knowledge and new simpler and healthier attitudes and concepts. This becomes the turning point of Wang's literary life which can be illustrated by ShaoGong. He trolled triumphant songs full of passion and then he concerned himself with the real living status of people at the bottom of society after combining with SinKiang fairy and at last he broke through with the ideology to question the truth of life. This unusual experience made Wang have a new leap in his body and mind. The growth of self-consciousness as a media of the folk trend has witnessed Wang's literary development. Hidden in here are the psychological flections of politics, intellectuals and folk intervened with space and inner tense. Embedded in here is the innate cause of Wang's literature leading to a pluralization and synthesization.Therefore, this thesis is composed of five parts for the discussion: The preface introduces the bringing up of the question. The first chapter is about Wang's life and literary experience. The second chapter is about Wang's experiences about life. Through carding Wang's life stories, main literary achievements and his rich life experiences, we can see that Wang's folk experience especially the SinKiang experience has a remold function to his life and literary creation. The third chapter illustrates in detail the folk trend in Wang's creations. Through carding of the three phases of Wang's literary life, a discussion is carried out about the folk trend in his works by analyzing the aspects of expressions of sensibility, shape of characters, artistic technique, language management and narration manners. Last part is the conclusion.
