On The Development Of The Youth Personality And The University Students' Personality Education

At present, our country is in the historical period of building a harmonious society. Although our country has succeeded in the socialist modernization and socialist market economy, avoiding the western developed countries during their modernization had tremendous shakes in spirits and culture which brought them some puzzles, that is, morbid personality and moral nihilism were prevalent because of persons'alienation, when they achieved complete succeed in science, technology and material, the modernization in our country is an unprecedented and unrepeatable cause which depends on peoples'qualities, especially on the young university students'qualities, because they are the principal part of making innovations in knowledge, science and technology. As the comprehensive reflection of the talents, the personality based on the physiology, intermediated on the social practice is the stable entity of the individual inside state and outside action, which is established by individual on his own. Its product and development is a gradual process based on the development of self-consciousness. The youth is an awakening period of self-conscious. At this time, its development is characteristic of autonomist, transition and practice. The youth is crucial stage of individual personality in the shape and development, so cultivating university students who own perfect personality is an important task of our universities and colleges. As the main part of university students'personality education, the higher schools in our country has made obvious achievements, they have trained university students from generation to generation who are throwing themselves into socialist modernization with unprecedented warmth and vigor. However, in the course of reform and opening, the personality education is faced with challenges: the malposition between the needs of the material and spirit; the unbalance of the sound in the body and mind because of all kinds of pressures; getting lost in the personality because of the change of identity; the defects of the personality education in the higher schools, leading to fail in the efficence or the gap in the personality education. At present, the higher schools should face up to the realitical problems in the personality education, abide by the laws of the development and education tactics agreeing with the laws, make clear education aims of the personality; strengthen their personality-built consciousness; promote the integrity of the subjects; perfect the environment of the personality education; establish the encouraging and restraining mechanism of personality development; give the rein to the function of the individual ,family ,school, and society, thereby form the sound, orderly and harmonious surroundings of the personality education.
