Study On The Characteristics Of Sentence Element's Numeral Consistency In The Secret History Of The Mongols

The numeral consistency between sentence elements is the most important character of Mongolian grammar and sentence structure in the Middle Mongolian. The Secret History of the Mongols is the Longest document in Middle Mongolian and it systematically embodied the numeral consistency between sentence elements.There are close links between numeral consistency and numeral appended element. In the past, the numeral consistency between sentence elements was a common problem in the research of numeral category and plural number appended element. But as the main character of sentence structure, the contact and character between the numeral consistency and literature still need to be studied in depth. So the paper counted all sentences of the Secret History of the Mongols and tried hard to make clear and definite the contact situation and characters between plural number consistency and Mongolian sentences of Middle Ages.First, the paper classified all sentences and embodied them by forms. During the classifying and counting process, I paid particular attention to the contact feature between every sentence and the numeral consistency.Second, the passage made clear and definite the character of plural number appended element and count it's appearing frequency and related sentences. Plural number appended element was devised into basic appended element and special appended element and the second kind is studied indepth.Third, the paper counted and studied the model, frequency, character and related sentences of every sentence element's numeral consistency. And paidattention to how the numeral consistency related to sentence element. Sentence element's numeral consistency was devised into full name and single name consistency, and the first one embodies ancient Mongolian sentence element's basic characteristic of numeral consistency, the second one embodies the changing situation of numeral consistency at that time.
