Investigation And Verification On The Landscape Architecture In Sui Dynasty And Tang Dynasty

Chinese classical landscape architectures are the testimonies of Chinese history. Chinese classical landscape architectures in various periods reflect Chinese societies in various periods. It is worthy to study Chinese historical landscape architectures not only for the analysis of Chinese ancient society, but also for the need of promoting Chinese tourism industry nowadays. According to the development of the research in this aspect, Chinese classical landscape architectures in Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty were chosen to be the study objects in this thesis. Chinese classical landscape architectures passed a long journey from the germination in the remote past to the combination of Tai and You in Fore-Qing period, then to the period of palace and garden in Qing dynasty and Han dynasty, then to the period of Wei dynasty and Jin dynasty and Nanbeichao dynasty, finally flourished in the Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty. The royal landscape architectures in Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty were very magnificent and spectacular. Emperors of Sui dynasty have built many royal landscape architecture in Changan city, Luoyang city and Jiangdu city, who either created the pattern of the royal landscape architecture for aftertime or built some grand royal landscape architectures such as Xiyuan Garden in Luoyang. The royal landscape architectures in Changan city in Tang dynasty based Sui dynasty and was famous by the Jinyuan Garden, Daminggong Palace and Xingqinggong Palace.
