On The Inspiration Of Modern Voice Music Teaching In Terms Of M·Grcia's "Glottal Shock" Theory

M · Garcia is the well-known authority on the teaching of bel canto and theory of vocal music. His theory of "glottal shock" has proven the correctness of the classic Italian bel canto's producing and starting sound and has summarized the ways of bel canto systematically. His contribution enables all his followers to practice starting and producing sound more consciously, more warmly and more explicitly.With the progress of science and technology, people's tastes for enjoying the art of music have changed, and so there is a new demand for the training of voice. This has made some vocal music experts get new opinions of M · Garcia's theories and caused some confusion in the field of theory, which has brought some trouble to the teaching and learning of vocal music. Taking this situation into consideration, this thesis first briefly introduces Garcia's life and his theory—glottis lashnature of sound from historical point of view.
